Job Description:
Provide special education services to students in Preschool through High School. The Special Education Teacher is responsible for case management, IEPs, consultation and collaboration with teachers and school staff as well as documentation of student services. 

 Essential job duties:

  1. Scheduling students for sessions based on the IEP.
  2. Providing services based on IEP goals.
  3. Training and working with a paraprofessional.
  4. Attending IEP meetings.
  5. Collaboration with IEP members, including parents, teachers, and other therapists.
  6. Providing educational instruction and homework that is educationally relevant and developmentally appropriate.
  7. Writing progress reports, IEPs, daily notes.
  8. Serving students with a range of disabilities.
  9. Ensuring compliance with local, state and federal rules, regulations and mandates.
  10. Keeping abreast of changes in education through continuing education.

Work experience:

One year or more of experience as a special education teacher working with children in a school setting.

Skills required:
Must have a basic knowledge of technology, including sending emails, using a webcam, and using the internet.

Certification/Licenses Required: Must have a current teaching credential.

Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Description:
Provide speech and language therapy services to students in Preschool through High School. The SLP is responsible for case management, IEPs, consultation and collaboration with teachers and school staff as well as documentation of student services.

Job Description:

Job Description:
Provide physical therapy services to students in Preschool through High School. The PT is responsible for therapy services, consultation and collaboration with teachers and school staff, and documentation of student services. 

 Essential job duties:

  1. Scheduling students for sessions based on the IEP.
  2. Providing services based on IEP goals. While services do not include hands on manipulation, stretching and strengthening, PT's work with students and on-site staff to provide developmentally appropriate and fun exercises. These exercises improve strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance in order to promote safe access to the home/school environment throughout daily activities.
  3. Training and working with a paraprofessional.
  4. Attending IEP meetings.
  5. Collaboration with IEP members, including parents, teachers, and other therapists.
  6. Providing therapy and home/school programs that are educationally relevant and developmentally appropriate.

Adaptive Physical Education Teacher

Job Description:
Provide APE services to students in Preschool through High School.  The APE teacher is responsible for IEP services, consultation and collaboration with teachers and school staff, and documentation of student services.

Essential job duties:

  1. Scheduling students for sessions based on the IEP.
  2. Providing services based on IEP goals. APE teachers work with students and on-site staff to provide developmentally appropriate and fun exercises.  These exercises improve strength, flexibility, coordination and balance in order to promote engagement in a physical education program.

Job Description:
Provide assistive technology services to students in Preschool through High School.  The AT specialist is responsible for support services, consultation and collaboration with teachers and school staff, and documentation of student services. 

 Essential job duties:

  1. Scheduling students for sessions based on the IEP.
  2. Providing services based on IEP goals. 
  3. Training and working with a paraprofessional.
  4. Attending IEP meetings.
  5. Collaboration with IEP members, including parents, teachers, and other therapists.
  6. Providing support services and home/school programs that are educationally relevant and developmentally appropriate.
  7. Writing progress reports, IEPs, daily notes.
  8. Serving students with a range of disabilities.

One year or more of experience as an assistive technology specialist working with children in a school setting.
